One is None

“Mutuality” Center Program Group Exhibition
Hyde Park Art Center, Chicago

“One is None” explores language as a shared and collective material. Created during the Hyde Park Art Center Center Program, the installation consists of modular letterpress prints featuring short statements contributed by fellow participants. Each print stands on its own, but together they form an open-ended field of voices that resists a single narrative or conclusion. Through repetition, variation, and proximity, the work considers how meaning is shaped through exchange, interdependence, and the spaces between individual perspectives. Rather than seeking consensus, “One is None” embraces multiplicity, suggesting that community is built through relationships that remain dynamic, incomplete, and continually evolving.
